Read MoreHow did I get here?
Here. The end of the line on a remote trail, winding high through slickrock to a lone natural arch, with an expansive, breathtaking view beyond. Other days, “Here” has been a winter wonderland, my footsteps blazing fresh tracks in snow that newly frosts the evergreens above, creating a magical, quiet softness and all I can hear is the crunch of each step.

Read MoreConsidering our New Zealand trip took place over 1.5 years ago (!!!), it’s safe to say I am well overdue for some posts on this.
Read MoreThere may not be a story in the Firewatch Tower. But there is just the right quantity of pictures, so there’s going to be a blog post regardless. I could talk about the views, the light, and the incinerating toilet.
Read MoreHere’s a very short story about my annual pilgrimage to the mountain reservoir near my home.
Read MoreIn July 2018, I biked from Fort Collins to Steamboat Springs, with camping gear strapped to the bike.
Read MoreIs there a story buried under the dune cats? Probably not.
I’ll tell it anyway: We went to the Great Sand Dunes Park and Preserve for a 24-hour “adventure” of lounging around with friends and looking at the stars.
