About
The play between light and dark rules my life. A lighting engineer by day, I am focused on how light and shadow enhance every day life.
A few things to know about me:
My husband and I live in Colorado with our very adorable, very perfect cat named Hera. Every day is filled with freshly-ground coffee. We love to travel, hike, backpack, bike, watch movies, and play games. Among many other things.
Running is a huge part of my life - it has given me an avenue to explore, find community, and chase hefty goals. I love spending a day on the trails, taking in the sights and sounds, pushing my body to new limits. I’ve finished a few ultramarathons and I have big dreams ahead! You can do more than you think.
While photography has always had a place in my heart, I really dove into it when I bought an entry-level SLR on a bit of a whim after graduating engineering school. Two cameras, several lenses, and an embarrassingly large number of atrocious photos later, I’m finally willing to call myself an amateur photographer, with the emphasis on amateur. It’s a hobby that accompanies my other interests quite nicely, so I’ll be sticking with it for the long haul. Every year, I cringe at last year’s photos and strive to continuously improve.
I created this website for me. I don’t write anymore, and I want that to change. I hope my stories and my photography can bring amusement if nothing else to those who choose to visit.
